Who we are

Doodle Rescue USA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Las Vegas, Nevada, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming doodle-breed dogs. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we need to run the rescue — and we never sell personal information.

Information we collect

We only collect what a given form needs. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:

• Contact form: your name, email address, chosen topic, and message, so we can respond to you.
• Donations & event tickets: your name, email address, amount, and any honoree name you provide. Card numbers never touch our systems — payment details (including the card's security code) are entered directly with our payment processor (CardPointe) and are never stored by us.
• Volunteer applications: your name, contact details, mailing address, availability, the roles that interest you, an emergency contact, and an age confirmation.
• Foster & adoption applications:your (and any co-applicant's) contact details and birth dates, home address and housing situation (own or rent, and — if you rent — your landlord's name and contact), details about your household including children and current pets, an emergency contact, and your consent to a home check.
• Owner-surrender requests:the owner's identifying and contact information — including a driver's license or state ID number— the dog's medical, vaccination, and behavioral history, the reason for surrender, and any veterinary-record files you upload. If a surrender proceeds, an authorized adult also e-signs an ownership-transfer release.
• Event membership applications:the member's and each dog's details, photos of your dog(s), household information, an age confirmation, and your acknowledgment of event waivers and policies.
• Technical basics: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

How we use information

• Responding to your inquiries and messages.
• Reviewing volunteer, foster, adoption, surrender, and membership applications, and arranging next steps such as interviews, home checks, and placements.
• Processing donations and event tickets and emailing receipts.
• Keeping the financial and animal-care records a non-profit is required to keep.
• Protecting the site and our forms from abuse.

We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell data.

Cookies & tracking

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you don't see a cookie banner. The only third-party technology on our forms is Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving bot check that protects our forms; it is strictly necessary for security and does not track you across the web. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy and ask for consent first.

Who we share information with

Only the service providers that make the site work, and only for that purpose:

• Vercel — website hosting
• Supabase — our secure database and file storage
• Cloudflare — form security (Turnstile)
• CardPointe — donation and ticket payment processing
• Resend — email delivery (receipts and notifications)

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Files you upload

Some forms let you upload files — for example, veterinary records with a surrender request, or photos of your dog with a membership application. Uploaded files go directly to access-controlled storage (Supabase), and only authorized Doodle Rescue USA staff can view them. We use them solely to review your request or application.

Retention

Inquiries and application records are kept while we work with you and for a reasonable period afterward, and animal-care and financial records are kept for as long as a non-profit is required to keep them. Sensitive identifiers (such as a driver's license number provided with a surrender) and uploaded files are kept only as long as needed for the related request, then deleted. When information is no longer needed, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see “Your choices” below).

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (where the law allows). Email info@doodlerescueusa.org and we'll take care of it.

Children's & household information

Our website is a general-audience site and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Some applications (foster, adoption, and membership) ask about the people in your household, which can include the names and ages of children. That information is provided by an adult applicant and is used only to assess a safe placement or event participation.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, stored in access-controlled systems, and card data is handled exclusively by our payment processor. Sensitive identifiers (such as a driver's license number on a surrender request) and uploaded files are restricted to authorized staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we design ours so that the most sensitive payment data — your card number — never reaches us at all.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and revise the date at the top of the page.
